SOAR (Sharing Opportunities for Achievement and Relationship) is truly a co-operative program, whereby all students taking classes have at least one parent on site providing childcare, teaching or assistance in classes. We seek to have classes team-taught so that the teaching responsibilities are shared. Class time is spent engaging students in meaningful discussions, providing opportunities to demonstrate learning, and doing experiments and hands-on activities. NEW THIS YEAR we are offering some high school classes for credit. SOAR IS ACCEPTING REGISTRATIONS FOR NEXT FALL – Feel free to look through the offerings we have to see if SOAR looks like something you would be interested in joining. If you tutor in a particular subject or subjects let us know. FSP would like to keep a list of tutors available to FSP homeschooled children. We will post it on our Yahoo Group so that all FSP families will have access to the list. What we need from you are names and contact information of tutors you know that you have worked with or that you can recommend to other homeschool families. We will also need to know what subjects and grade levels they tutor. We will contact them before we publicize their information so if you just give us contact information that is fine too. We have a wealth of resources among our FSP moms and dads that I’m sure can benefit others by way of tutoring. Hope to hear from you soon!
SOAR Registration is open for the 2023-24 School Year. Check out the SOAR links under K-8, SOAR Co-Op to find out more about this wonderful program. We meet once a week for 12 weeks in the Fall and 12 weeks in the Spring. Links are provided on the SOAR page for registration and class offerings.
