Book Event – Meet the Author

We are excited to welcome back Mr. Josh Cooley who has authored several books including a new Children’s Book, Empty! Some things in life are terrible when empty, such as piggy banks, cookie jars, and giftwrapped Christmas boxes. But empty can be amazingly good, like Saturday chore lists and that beehive you just bumped into. Two thousand years ago, outside Jerusalem, a group of people found a miraculously empty tomb—and the world has never been the same. Join New York Times bestselling author Joshua Cooley in a funny, meaningful journey into Jesus’ empty tomb—the greatest empty in the history of emptiness!—and what it means for us today. Josh will be here Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 11am to talk with our homeschool students.  We would love for you to join us!!

Standardized Testing

The Family Schools Program recommends Standardized Testing every two years. For homeschool families wanting the best for their children, achievement testing can be a key educational tool. Testing shows you how well your children are learning. We recommend using  BJU Press Testing & Evaluation to ensure that you get the most out of testing. In addition to Iowa Assessments and Stanford Online, BJU Press is now offering Stanford 10 paper/pencil with Pearson’s scoring services. See the Stanford page on their website here for more details on the results turnaround and pricing for this new scoring method. If you any questions please let me know. And please share with anyone that you may think is interested. The test is open to anyone- not just homeschoolers.
